Prefabricated Vertical Drain method using biodegradable drain materials.
We develop Prefabricated vertical drain method (also known as PVD method) used to improve soft ground, along with the Prefabricated vertical drain material and Prefabricated horizontal drainage(SBD) material that are used for this method.
Our Prefabricated Vertical Drain method can now improve the soft ground even in the case that a large amount of natural sand for the sand blanket and soil for preloading, which the conventional PVD method required, are difficult to arrange. Therefore, not only is the environmental stress caused by mining of sand and soil reduced, but also the cost is reduced.
Furthermore, by using biodegradable materials for the Prefabricated vertical drain material and Prefabricated horizontal drainage(SBD) material, we challenge ourselves to further reduce the environmental stress in the soft ground improvement construction.
